The formation of the holding company was initiated by Gina Diez Barroso in 1989 with Grupo Diarq, an architecture and interior design firm. It has evolved into Diez Holdings, encompassing investments across both public and private markets, operating ventures in architecture, interior design, education, entertainment, development and management of real estate.

Gina serves as an independent board member for several public companies, including being the sole Latin American woman on the global board of Santander Bank, the Mexican Stock Exchange. Winner of the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year 2023 Mexico, and renowned speaker in Latin America, USA, and Europe.
She is a member of the C200, an organization of the world’s leading businesswomen. Gina represents Mexico in the W20 – a G20 initiative for women – and the EMPOWER private sector initiative, which directly reports to the G20.
She has been honored with numerous international accolades, including the prestigious Gold Medal from the American Society.
